His Majesty Kinf Charles III honours 40 British Muslims in his first New Year “Honours List”
Every year, the United Kingdom awards prestigious recognition to select nominees whose achievements reserved a spot for them in the Honours List.
Amongst them were 40 British Muslims, who were names in the list for their achievements and service to the United Kingdom.
“The New Year Honours List for 2023 recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK.”

According to the Cabinet Office, The Honours List recognises people who have:
- made achievements in public life
- committed themselves to serving and helping the UK.
The list which is released every new year, contains names of 1108 recipients, 40 of whom are Muslims.
