With Perforated Copies of the Qur’an, Islamophobic Extremists Vandalise Stockholm Mosque in Sweden
Early morning of past Friday, Islamophobic extremists vandalised Stockholm Mosque in the Capital of Sweden by hanging perforated copies of the Qur’an in front of the Mosque’s gate.
The Mosque’s administration posted on Social media pictures of the incident, showing a perforates copy of the Qur’an hanging by chain in front of the Mosque’s gate.
On the copy there was an attached note that said: “Thank you for visiting, but it’s time to go home.” in both Swedish and Arabic.
“It is all too common for the mosque and its congregation to receive threats and that damage also affects the mosque. Racists and bigots always try to find new tricks to disgrace other people and religions. It’s important that we draw attention to this, not just for the police report, but also to make our visitors and the public aware that these hate crimes are a major problem that must not be taken for granted and normalised.” says the administration of the Mosque in a post on the Mosque’s official page on Facebook.
